A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, Leni Wildflower has a Masters degree from the University of Hawaii in Public Health, and a Doctorate from Fielding Graduate University in Human and Organizational Systems. She is qualified, by the International Coach Federation, as a Professional Certified Coach, and is certified in Change Management (William Bridges and Associates), Immunity to Change Process and follow up coaching (Harvard University) and MBTI and Motivational Interviewing.

Leni co-edited The Handbook of Knowledge-Based Coaching: From Theory to Practice, published by Jossey-Bass, 2011. The book is used in coaching schools throughout North America. Her latest book, The Hidden History of Coaching, (McGraw Hill, 2013), highlights the theories and movements that formed the basis of coaching. She has also written on online education and adult learning at the graduate level.
